Juvenile arthritis affects nearly 300,000 children in the United States. It's not a disease in itself. It's an umbrella term that describes the many conditions that can develop in children 16 and under. Juvenile arthritis is a lifelong autoimmune and inflammatory condition. It usually is manageable. But it takes effort to reduce and relieve its painful and often limiting effects.

In this episode, Christina Iversen shares her experience with juvenile arthritis. Christina has dealt with it since the age of 2. Now a young adult, she knows well what it's like to contend with its physical, emotional, and social effects.

What's it like growing up with a condition that's typically linked to older adults? Christina shares her story of trials, triumph, and advice. Above all, she shares her hope for children with the condition—and their parents—to experience life to its fullest.
